A simple and nutritious avocado toast recipe, perfect for breakfast, featuring creamy avocado, crunchy sunflower seeds, and a hint of lime.
Toast the slices of bread until golden and crisp.
Halve the avocado. Mash one half on a slice of toast.
Cut the other avocado half into spears. Mash one spear and spread it thinly on the toast for baby. Cut the toast into strips about the width of two adult fingers pressed together.
Roll the remaining avocado spears in finely ground sunflower seeds to add grip for baby.
Drizzle the toasts with olive oil and some lime juice. Season with sunflower seeds and salt to taste.
Offer toast strips and avocado spears to baby, allowing them to self-feed.
If needed, hold an avocado spear or toast strip in front of the baby, letting them reach for it. Once they grab it, let go.
Enjoy your avocado toast alongside the baby to model eating.
